PCOS Awareness Month

PCOS Awareness Month is a global health awareness campaign observed throughout September each year, led by PCOS Challenge: The National Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Association, with the goal of increasing public understanding, improving diagnosis rates, and advancing research for PCOS. During September, healthcare organizations, advocacy groups, content creators, and the PCOS community organize educational events, social media campaigns, fundraising initiatives, and teal-themed awareness activities (teal being the official PCOS awareness color). The campaign has significantly increased global recognition of PCOS and helped reduce the diagnostic delay that many women experience, as studies show it takes an average of 2-3 years and visits to multiple doctors before receiving a PCOS diagnosis.
